Cobalt: sure. i'll be in my room, so let yourself in Cobalt: please shut the doors behind you, though. i can't close them with my mind like some people
[Cobalt's sitting out on the balcony with his back to the door. The table beside him is covered in a collection of whatever wines were left over from the Solstice party (some whites, some reds, some herbal vodka infusions (thanks, Paloma)) and a pair of scotch glasses. There's an umbrella up to keep the sun off.
The scenery looks like a a coastline today, and you can hear the distant shush of waves.
The lantern windchime has been mounted outside the balcony window, where it can be seen both inside and outside the room. The lights are on but it's hard to tell when it's this bright out. It sways in the gentle ocean breeze.
When Cobalt hears Intensity come in (out?) he leans back in his chair and looks at him upside-down.]
I've never once seen you eat in front of me and I don't know if that's because of some game ruining it for you or you just photosynthesize or something.
If the former, tell me so I can stop foisting unwanted food upon you.
Cobalt's back a minute later with two bottles and a plate of nachos (and some sliced limes), which he finds a place for on the table or maybe the ground.]
Did you know "an entire human torso" counts as just one body part in the point store?
Yeah, it was exactly as fun as you would have expected, it turns out.
[He sprawls out in his chair]
But since I am under the impression we may be replacing our livers in the near future, so I thought I'd let you know it's more economical to buy organs in bulk and freeze the rest for later.
Or use the leftovers to score points with your favorite cannibal.
[He oogles the drinks. Which to start with? Which one is strongest? Big decisions]
Why stop there? Cyborg body! Rid yourself of your flesh suit and all its many inconvenient needs. Become the transformer you always were in your heart!
I would shut down anyway if my mechanical liver exploded inside me. If I'm going to go that far, may as well commit.
Overload and Technokinesis are both demon powers, aren't they? Seems like it might be dangerous to have on the Hell route too, depending on how many demons don't like you.
[waiting for Intensity to pick up a glass of his own before imbibing]

Re: Day 196 - Early
[But Intensity does come in the front door, shutting them politely behind him before making his way to Cobalt's room.
And carrying three bottles with him - one top shelf scotch, a red wine, and something without a label.]

What kind of scenery do you like?
Re: Day 196 - Early
Normally I'd say a city skyline but we've all seen enough of those.
This is fine.
Re: Day 196 - Early
Feel free to change it if you want to look at something else.
Oh wait hang on--
[he picks up the phone again]
How much do I owe you?
Re: Day 196 - Early
Re: Day 196 - Early
[he looks at what Intensity brought, checking out what they already have.]
Maybe a tequila and a brandy?
Also how do you feel about nachos?

[And moves to settle near Cobalt on the balcony]
Throw in some limes as well.

And I eat like a normal person. I'm just not terribly picky. Ration bars are fine for most meals.

Noted. Thank you.
[he taps at his phone, then gets up to leave]
Be right back.
[be right back]

[Well, if there are glasses available, Intensity is going to start pouring drinks while Cobalt is gone. One of each because WHY FUCKING NOT?]

No, but it sounds like you speak from experience.
Which means that had to be one hell of a revival job.

Sure you don't want a mechanical liver.
Probably lasts longer.

Ah, but then you shut down whenever there are any actual angels in play. Or heavenly artifacts.
Only advisable for those going 100% the Hell route.

Yes, well.
That's why I need to overthrow good ol' Bel before he thinks I'm a threat.
Then the dominion of technology is. all. mine.
[Bottoms up]
no subject
More fool him, you're already a threat.
[picks up the bottle and tips it in his direction, a gesture like "want another one?"]
Any new developments on that front?

I didn't come here to talk work.
I came here to ask about you and pep. ... Mostly you.
no subject
Anything specific you want to ask about or do you just want me to start talking and see what happens?
no subject
If you had won, would you have kept going with no regrets?
