[the polite and respectful concern for Intensity's comfort re: playing a game where Intensity has to both share his feelings AND get blasted with all of Cobalt's is replaced with:
Huh. We've actually done some of the five-point ones already. "Confront a serious fear" and "talk about a bottled-up emotion," for example.
If you wanted to go for big point tasks, we could do one of those. Or maybe uh. A secret, restraining someone, or getting a piercing or tattoo.
I think those are the only 5-point ones I can reasonably do, and only 'cause it's you.
[....a self-aware feeling of sympathy for Intensity for hypothetically having to deal with whatever Cobalt's emotions would do in those situations. RIP ]
Do any of those overlap with the list of things you'd be okay with, or should we look at the Tangy list instead?
[While Intensity's distracted looking for something BEWDiful, Cobalt's going to help himself to some paper and pens. This is the Tattoo Zone after all, there's probably some supplies available to make DIY tattoo flash.
He's just going to entertain himself with this until Intensity finds what he's looking for.]
You got it. Make yourself comfortable and lift up your shirt.
[he's getting together the supplies to clean the skin. Would you believe this isn't the first time he's done this today? Cobalt certainly can't. But he's already read the manual on how the tattoo gun works, and he's preparing everything with calm confidence.]
[He strips off his long coat and folds it neatly because that's just how he is a person. There is a slight pause and what would almost be considered an anxiety spike (if it was anyone else but Intensity). It probably feels more like a mistrust spike which then smooths over to a give-no-fucks spike as he takes off the silver dress shirt underneath.
Besides the expected mess of metal arm meeting with flesh shoulder, multiple lightning scars arc across his upper back and shoulder blades like dragon wings. His parting gift from Liar Hell. And underneath those are the traces of faint thin other scars - years old. Probably way before he was brought to the production.
[Cobalt acknowledges the scars but doesn't seem to feel any sort of way about them, attention instead turning to the task at hand. He sits himself behind Intensity and starts preparing his skin, wiping with a wet cloth first so the shock of cold from the sterilizing alcohol that follows isn't quite so shocking.]
Amazingly, you are not the first person crazy enough to let me do this to them today, so I've already read the manual and even gotten a little practice. In case you were wondering.
[despite his light tone, he's taking this extremely seriously.
Skin cleaned, he puts his fingers to Intensity's lower back.]
[Considerable unease. Also light annoyance that Intensity didn't take the subject-changing bait, as usual.]
...Thorn.
Ok I'm ignoring you now.
[He takes all his discomfort and shoves it in a box, forcing his attention back on what he's doing. HE HAS TWO LEFT HANDS DON'T MESS HIM UP!!!!!!!!
As you could probably tell from his drawing, he has a -50 dexterity stat, so he has to be exceedingly careful with the placement of the design that's currently being projected with a laser onto Intensity's back, making sure it's centered and the correct size and not crooked or anything. Once everything looks okay, he confirms the design and sets the needle to Intensity's skin, starting to get to work. The gun only applies ink to the areas lit up with laser, leaving the rest of the skin untouched, but it's still a slow and methodical process of filling it in.]
[There is genuine surprise at both the unease and annoyance. And like Cobalt, it only lasts for a moment before that is flagged as something to be inspected thoroughly at a later and more appropriate time. (Which honestly because this is Intensity may be never.)
And instead focuses on staying as still as possible for Cobalt to do his work.
There are occasional spikes of uncomfortable poking and prodding as the needles work into his skin. But certainly it all pales in comparison to what they've all been through at Imeeji. So it's a minor inconvenience at best.]
[He tries to make it quick while still working carefully, making sure not to linger in any one spot too long.
Eventually he turns off the gun and wipes the fresh tattoo clean with a damp cloth, which he has made cold with his powers to try and ease the discomfort.]
There.
...That looks pretty cool!
[He takes a photo and leans forward to offer his phone to Intensity so he can see (and/or delete the photo, if he wants).]

yaaay]
Then let me help you get some points.
no subject
Except you walked right into it. Asked for it even]
Your pick.
I'm feeling generous.

[looking at the list]

I want a Blue Eyes tattoo.
[Thanks, Heart Game. Thanks, Cardinal]
no subject
He recovers pretty fast, pleased]
Oh... yeah, sure. Let's do it!
[gesturing at him to follow to the Tattoo Zone]
The tattoo guns come programmed with designs so we don't even have to rely on my drawing skills, ahaha.
no subject
And completely facetious:]
But what if I wanted a limited-edition Shen-original Blue Eyes? I'd be the envy of the production.
no subject
I mean. I'll do it, but for your sake I hope there's a tattoo removal option in the store because it would probably look like it was drawn by a child.
no subject
But Intensity shakes his head and that feeling quickly vanishes.]
Fine, fine.
Let's see what's pre-programmed in here.
[And true to his word, all designs that are not Blue Eyes are immediately vetoed]
no subject
He's just going to entertain himself with this until Intensity finds what he's looking for.]
no subject
Found one.
no subject
—Oh! That's really cool! Yeah, yours is way better.
[he offers Intensity a piece of paper]
You can have this anyway. Now you know what you're missing out on.

White noise.
Indecipherable white noise.]

[Obviously not on his BODY. But still]
no subject
Yes. It's for you.
no subject
Pleased. Yes. Very pleased.
And yet:]
Careful.
The sappiness is leaking.
no subject
[taking the gun, now that it's fully loaded with a tribal BEWD]
Now, where do you want this thing?
no subject
Lower back.
[And we can blame C for the tramp stamp idea.
Or was that also Cardinal.
Either way!]

Lower back seems to be in good shape though]
Does that thing come with instructions?

Right here?

[And he resists the urge to turn and face Cobalt since that will probably mess up what he's doing]
Who was lucky victim #1?

...Thorn.
