[It looks just how you left it, more or less. The colorful, silky curtains draping over the ceiling and walls have finally defrosted, though the room is still a bit chilly. The decorative lanterns hanging from the ceiling still cast a dim light around the room, making everything look vague and dreamy.]
[The room is currently unoccupied by any spiders, so it has that going for it!]
He is tearing down everything that was here before and replacing it with the things he brought. That is to say, the lanterns serve the main light fixture in the center of the ceiling and he meticulously hangs up every photo with practically neurotic even spacing and organized by unit/group and them chronologically.

[Down come the curtains, replaced by photos hung with all the precision of a surgeon. It looks fit for a corporate board meeting!]
[Once you tear down the curtains, you can finally see that the decorative lanterns are plugged into a heavy yellow cable. There's black cord laying uselessly on the pillow next to it, not plugged into anything, as if someone unplugged it to make way for the lanterns.]
[When you unplug the decorative lanterns, the room goes dark, lit only by the six colored lights of the windchime you hung.]
[But when you plug the black cable back in, the room brightens abruptly, soft and warm like sunshine pouring in. It cuts through the illusions in the room, and everything suddenly snaps into focus like you've just woken from a dream and everything looks real for the first time. It feels easier to breathe, like releasing tension in your chest and shoulders that you never even realized you were carrying.]
[Somehow, it feels like everything is going to be okay.]
[Thanks to you, this room is in much better condition than you found it. It's gone from dim and choking and full of spiders, to bright and welcoming and full of beautiful memories. Instead of somewhere treacherous, this place looks comfortable and safe.]

He should probably make sure the lights are plugged in.
