It's Solstice! A time when we celebrate bringing light to the darkness, both literally and metaphorically.

[He nods at paper lantern that's perched on top of a hand-made wooden box, which are sitting on the mantle above the fireplace]

[Baby Cobalt is trying to get his attention so he can climb into his lap again, so Dad picks him up and gives him a hug, carrying him back over somewhere they can sit down together and have a snack.]

[This party is poppin! It's just packed with tons of people, all looking a little ethereal or glowing slightly, as if made of light, or maybe dreams. The room is decorated with lanterns absolutely everywhere. There’s a fire crackling happily in the fireplace, and the dining room table is covered in a spectacular extravaganza of all manners of delicious-looking food. One entire wall is covered with a photo collage so big it spreads down the hall into another room.]
