[Oh. The spiderwebs are a bit scary, but that's nothing compared to how scary she looks her face twisted in fury.]
No. Cobalt is my friend. Cobalt is good, and kind, and he's always taken care of me - whether it's to take my hand or hug me or make me laugh or to laugh with me! He's not gullible or stupid! He's the strongest person I've ever met.
[Every word is true of course. Probably the only person she admires more than him is her father. She regrets now that she's never told him as much.]
[They're sticky and stretchy but you can pull them off, though they cling to your hands.]
My, your acting is wonderful! I applaud your commitment. I'm sure he buys it — though that's not saying much, is it?
But it's fine, dear, we know better. I wouldn't insult you by implying you would truly love him — as if anyone could be interested in such an embarrassment of a human being.
[she approaches again, reaching out to grab your arms]
Me? Why, I'm the one he loves most in the world. He adores me, you know? He'd do anything for me. He gives me everything I ask for.
But he means nothing to me. It's so funny - all you have to do is give him a little attention here, a little lip service there, and he falls for it completely. He's so gullible. It's no effort at all to get him wrapped around your finger, and he'll do anything you want.
Don't you think that's hysterical? As if anyone could ever love him like that. What a joke!
[Ughhh this lady is annoying!! She honestly can’t hold it in anymore and shoves her away. She really couldn’t handle hearing someone mistreat him like this.]
You’re so annoying!! Stop saying things that aren’t true!
Ren immediately takes a step back and jumps to the side, trying to dodge the lunge and attempt to bite (10). She follows it up with a shot to her face (AIM: 8, DMG: 5)]
[The bullet hits her square in the chest and she shrieks, instantly turning into oily black ichor and splashing all over the pillows. You can still hear her muttering angrily as the goo soaks into the bedding and starts to disappear, giving you the impression she's not necessarily dead so much as driven off. And she sounds pretty salty about it!]
[It gets darker momentarily as you switch the lights, but once you get the proper one plugged in, the room becomes brightly illuminated, cutting through the last of the illusion that was haunting this place. You feel like maybe now it'll be easier to see things for what they really are.]
[Nobody will be deceived in this room again.]
[SADLY the alarm starts blaring outside as you do this, and the flood light doesn't quite have enough time to boot up or whatever before Arachne comes back for round 2. But everything worked out in the end anyway. Some stories really do have happy endings.]

You don't know him at all.
[She tries to pull some of the spiderwebs off.]

Have you gotten anything good from him, at least?
Re: Dolus
I do, though. It’s not an act.
[She loves all of her unit, honestly. Even Pink who she wants to pinch sometimes.]
He gave me a spear earlier.
Re: Dolus
Really?
May I have it? You love me, right?
Re: Dolus
[Ah. She keeps saying ‘me’...? It dawns on her to ask-]
I know all of this place is his heart but... you keep saying I love you. Does that make you related to him somehow? Who are you to him?
Re: Dolus
[She laughs, light]

Re: Dolus
But they are true. You and I both know it.
[You shove her and she stumbles backward, but not before she manages to loop more sticky webs all over your arms.]
Anyway, you love me, right? Let me see what you brought me!
Re: Dolus
[She tries again to pull off the spiderwebs.]
I have people who are waiting for me - he's waiting for me!
Re: Dolus
If you're not going to give me anything, then maybe I'll just take it for myself.
[Before your eyes, her whole lower half starts to morph into a gigantic spider.]
[Immediately, she lunges at you, trying to bite you on the shoulder with her long fangs.]

You don't belong here!

Re: Dolus
[Well. The ichor is pretty gross. Whatever, at least she managed to get rid of the thing for now. Ren sighs in relief.]
Good riddance.
[Once the thing is gone, she immediately beelines for the black cable to disconnect it from the lights and then connect it to the yellow cable.]
