Cobalt's Heart - session 3
I carry you with me across these
barren lands, stretched dry and dark between
sanctuaries of kindness.
Generous with your warmth,
you have shown me
a path to guide my heavy legs and stumbling heart.
Generous with your patience,
you have shown me
how lucky I was to have something worth mourning.

I.
Uh.
I don't know, exactly? But there's a place with people.
[she pauses and then-- it strikes her, and she reaches for her lantern, making it appear?]
You know, I bet this can keep you safe.

Whoa...
[He reaches out and takes it, delicately, reverently.]
[It's hard to put your finger on it, but the street lights seem to be a little brighter now. Things in this sad, broken place feel a little more hopeful.]
Thank you.

You're welcome. I think you need it-- just a little bit more than me.
So-- come on. Let's go back to the city, okay?

[Carrying the lantern in one hand, he reaches for yours with the other.]
[He nods.]
Yeah! Maybe we can find my mom.
