[You strike at the tree with your sword, and A TON OF BLOOD — no just kidding, there's no blood. You're safe, it's just wood. It's a soft wood, though, like balsa. Your sword chops into it easily, and it only takes a few whacks at it before you strike it one final time to cut it down.]

[With one last, final crack, the top half of the tree begins to fall, and as it falls it starts to disintegrate into little papery bits of ash. The stump starts dissolving, too. In fact, all parts of the tree everywhere in the room — roots, leaves, branches all — turn to ash, and then to smoke, and then they're gone completely.]

[The cord that was tangled in the branches falls to the floor with an unceremonious clunk.]

[The corpse is still here, still dead, his chest still wet with blood but it's not as graphic as you might have expected. Actually, maybe it's just you, but does his face seem calmer now? It doesn't seem as frightened as it looked before. It kind of looks like he's sleeping instead of suffering.]
