[ As you approach, you can see that the surface isn't quite flat ... and it’s not quite solid, either. Rather, it undulates like rippling liquid, or like quicksilver in slow motion, the reflection shifting and changing like a living funhouse mirror. ]
[ When you look into it, you can see the reflection of the mannequin. But in the reflection, it's not a mannequin at all — It's Cobalt, flesh and blood instead of wood. He looks placid and relaxed, and seemingly unaware of your presence, even though you’re standing right there. In the reflection, behind him is his bedroom instead of a stage, as if he’s looking at himself in his closet mirror while debating what to wear. ]
[ As you look, the surface of the mirror shifts and the reflection distorts. Suddenly mirror!Cobalt's scars are enormous and dark, slicing across his face and down his arms. His face looks frightful and ominous. ]
[ You can barely make it out, but you can hear hushed whispers from the audience:
[ WOW RUDE...!? I guess he is just gonna helpfully yell at the audience. ]
What are you talking about!? Scars can be important to a person. I wouldn't trade the ones I have upon my back for anything in the world. And the ones Cobalt possesses are marks of his history!
[ HUFF HUFF HUFF!!!!! ]
He looks just fine!? I don't know why people place such importance upon their appearance, but actually, Cobalt is an attractive man and his scars lend him a power and grace that most lack!? You obviously do not know what you are talking about!
[It feels like water, but your fingers can't penetrate it. All you see is Cobalt's bland expression in the reflection, looking like he's trying to pick out his outfit for the day.]
[It's made of wood! It looks like the kind at a department store used for displaying clothes. It's wearing a set of Cobalt's clothes - a tank top and long pants. It looks like you could add or remove clothes if you wanted.]
[ The rack is laden with all manners of garments to cover one's shameful self. At one end, in easy reach, are outfits Cobalt normally wears: crisp, straight lines of navy blue, rich but understated embroidery, and neatly pressed white dress shirts. Further down the rack are random collections of other offerings spanning other unit's clothes to things that could be straight-up Halloween costumes. Gloves, boots, bags, scarves, capes -- it's all here somewhere, if you look. ]

"Right on his face," says someone. "Unfortunate."
"Why hasn’t he removed them already?"
"—Tall, dark, and scary—"
"If I saw him at night I’d probably scream."
"Shh—what if he hears you?" ]

[ The surface of the mirror shifts and the antlers in the reflection grow huge and twisted. ]
[ You can hear the whispers again.]
"They're so weird."
"I wish he'd cut them off."
"I hate looking at them."
"Do you think he's looking for attention?"
"I sure wouldn't, if that's what I looked like." ]
Re: Verecundiam
Hush! You are full of cruel things to say but none of them are accurate! Be gone with you.
[ Hmph. He'll turn back to the mirror and... can he reach inside it? Can he... do anything to it? ]
